Surfskate

In July, me and Maiya visited Sagres, a small surf resort on the Algarve coast of Portugal. Looking at longboards in the Sagres Natura surf shop, the clerk explained what a “surfskate” was, a skateboard made to emulate wave surfing (basically a wider longboard with really soft trucks). I had never heard of this before and got really intrigued.

Back home, I wanted to get a surfskate board, and eventually found a cheap beginner’s board at Decathlon:

And it’s so much fun! I love carving in the turns of a long, not-too-steep, downhill road.
