Why I Built This

I wanted to create a super simple SaaS product. Something light and fun. The idea? Start with cartoon transformations and build from there. Magical Photo Transformer is just the beginning. I plan to adapt this system for other AI use cases, from image editing to style transfers. The flexibility of the AI engine behind it lets me explore a range of creative possibilities in the future.

This project also serves as an experiment in marketing. Specifically, I’m using TikTok ads to drive traffic. TikTok’s visual-first culture makes it a perfect platform for a tool like this.

How It Was Built

I kept it straightforward. For the frontend, I tried using GPT Engineer to quickly scaffold the site. It was fast, and it got me what I needed without much hassle. On the backend, I chose Replicate to handle the image transformation process. Replicate offers a lot of flexibility, and its AI models are reliable.

Payments? Easy. I integrated Stripe Link Checkout. It’s quick for users and simple to manage. One click, and you’re set.

This project has been a fun dive into both product building and marketing experimentation. Simple, effective tools like Replicate and Stripe made the process much smoother than I expected.
